The Michael Metro Agency and MEEMIC Insurance Company are very much involved in helping to make stronger the educational communities we serve. The Michael Metro Agency, along with MEEMIC, believe that giving back to the communities where we live and work is important. Here are a few of the services that are currently offered to children, teachers and schools:


The MEEMIC Foundation for the Future of Education Grants:

Teacher-friendly applications for funding (up to $2,500 per teacher, per project, per school year) are readily available to all educators. Do you have a great idea which would facilitate learning or have a great project in mind for students? Are you lacking the funding to move your project forward? Please request an application for funding from our agency. Every year MEEMIC provides thousands of dollars to worthy projects and programs throughout the state of Michigan. It is true that not everyone will receive funding, however, we have many happy teachers who now have a project or program in place, thanks to the funding from MEEMIC Insurance Company. Speakers Bureau

Teachers are just a click away from accessing insurance professionals to come to their schools or classrooms to share real-world experience and expertise about insurance and safety topics. The Speakers Bureau offers great presentations to all age groups including: 'Fire Safety,' 'Bus Safety,' 'Drinking and Driving,' 'Why Do I Need Insurance?,' and 'Do You Understand Insurance?' These are just a few of the topics. The classes are interactive and interesting and students benefit greatly. In addition, we will make ourselves available for career days or other school events. Sponsorship Programs

  • Back-to-School Breakfast - Be sure to have a great back-to-school gathering with your teaching staff by allowing us to contribute money toward your special event. This is a very popular program. Bagels? Donuts? Something more elaborate? Let us help. Your staff will appreciate your thoughtfulness!
  • Honor Someone Special - Do you want to say "thank you" to a terrific staff member? Maybe one of your teachers or administrators completed a special project. Maybe the bus drivers got through those tough winter months and you want to show your appreciation. Perhaps one of your classrooms has performed above and beyond your greatest dreams. Let's honor them! Let us bring our popcorn machine, hot dogs or pizza to your event! We will be proud to partner with you as you honor your deserving staff members. This is a free service we offer to applaud the educational accomplishments of your school.
